Adriana Hristova is a visual artist whose creative pursuits span contemporary forms, photography, collage and working with textiles. Her works respond to themes such as self-awareness and shame, the materiality of the self, the mythology of happiness, and current social issues.
Adriana is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. Cyril and St. Methodius", holding a Bachelor’s degree in Painting and a Master’s degree in Graphics. She is currently a full-time doctoral student in the Department of Art Studies and Art Education, specializing in “Fine Arts and Art Studies – Theoretical Disciplines.”
She is a member of the association “Ideaction” which from 2012 to 2015 developed the creative project “Hedgehog – Club for Cultural Initiatives” in Veliko Tarnovo. Adriana has over ten years of teaching experience as an art educator in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, and Zagreb, Croatia. She organizes creative workshops for children and adults in various cities across the country.
